View looking west at the row of “gods” situated at the east foot of the Tumulus of Antiochus I. They are looking in the direction of the rising sun.
Note the six largest seated torsos and legs. From left to right were Hercules, Antiochus I (seated among the gods!), Zeus (largest in the center), Tyche, and Apollo. On both ends were lions and eagles.
On the back side of these statues is a long Greek inscription giving directions as to the cultic rites that were to be performed here.
Unfortunately the “heads” of the deities on this east side are not very well preserved, but see the following images. The people in the lower right portion of the image are standing among the fallen heads of these statues.
