View looking east down the nave of the modern church—toward the eastern apse of the church (left side of image). 

On the right side of the image, the southern aisle is visible.  In the upper center/right portion of the image, the windows of the clerestory are visible.  This was a typical way of illuminating a church during the Byzantine period.
