The above signs greet Christian Pilgrims as they walk up to the Basilica of the Annunciation.

The English on the white upper sign reads:

(And whoever seeks a religion other than Islam, it will never be accebted [sic]
of him, and in the Hereafter he will be one of the losers

The English on the reddish vertical sign reads:

Say: O people of the Scripture
(Jews and Christians) come to
a word that is just between us
and you, that we worship none
but God alone, and that we
associate no partners with Him,
and that none of us shall take
others as Lords besides God.
But if they (Jews and Christians)
turn a way, then say: Bear [sic]
witness that we are Muslims
