A view looking southwest at a model of the Herodium, with an emphasis on the north slope.  Not all of the structures represented here existed at the same time.

Below the center of the image note the semi-circular small theater (odeum) and above it the Royal Box.

To the left of the theater is a representation of the formal staircase that led up to the top of the Herodium.

To the left of the staircase is a representation of the monumental Tomb of Herod.

In the upper left quadrant, the circular Upper Herodium is visible with the large eastern tower being prominent.

Please note, that the theater was destroyed before the tomb was built.
