Saint Peter's Church Painting

Saint Peter

An image of the painting above the altar of Saint Peter's Church depicting a sheet being lowered from heaven with unclean animals—indicating that Gentiles (Cornelius at Caesarea) were to be included in the church (Acts 10).

This is a Franciscan Roman Catholic basilica that was built in 1654.  It was constructed on the remains of a Crusader Fortress and commemorates bringing Tabitha (Dorcas) back from the dead (Acts 9:39–43).
