Detailed view of one of the menoroth capitals that topped the two thin columns flanking the podium where the Torah Scrolls were kept. This is one of the originals—the other one is not well–preserved.

Note the seven branches, with mini flames.  On the central stem note the carved mini menorah at the top!  The whole menorah stands on a tripod.  To the right of the base is a shophar (ram's horn) and on the left an ethrog (a citrus fruit) and lulav (three branches that are symbols of the feast of booths [aka "tabernacles"]).

On the top of the capital note the "ionic" style scroll.
