Via dell'Abbondanza

View looking east down one of the major streets of Pompeii—the Via dell'Abbondanza (= Decumanus Maximus)—taken from the Forum.  Note the three large stones that block carts and other wheeled vehicles from entering the Forum.

The long wall on the left (north) side of the image is one of the outer walls of the Portico of Concordia Augusta.
