Dancing Women

Dancing Women

View of a terracotta slab that is on display in the Museo Nazionale della Magna Grecia in Reggio di Calabria.

This terracotta slab was probably part of a temple decoration.  The two women are running or dancing—note the positioning of their hands.  Some of the paint on their skirts is still preserved.  The slab was probably produced around 520-500 B.C.
