Nymphaeum

Nymphaeum

View looking north at the "spring house" that is over one of the freshwater sources for Andriace.  A significant spring bubbles forth from the semi-circular opening on the right (east) side of the image.  The monumental (well-preserved) Nymphaeum is on the left (west) side of the image.

Although I have not been able to find information in the "sources" it seems to me that an aqueduct would have flowed southwest from here towards the granary of Hadrian and the port.
