Propylon Courtyard

Propylon Courtyard

View looking northwest down on to square Propylon (entrance courtyard)—partially bounded by columns.  On the left, a small portion of the circular Temple to Zeus–Asclepius is visible.

In the distance, on the left, is the courtyard that measured 360 x 425 ft. [110 m. x 130 m.]. The standing columns in the distance outline the north stoa of the courtyard. Behind the tops of the columns, the curvature of the cavea of the small theater is visible.
