Roman Dwelling Apse

This image is of the apse in a Late Roman House.  Note the well-preserved brick arch and hemispherical dome along with the frescos on the wall!

This house is located along—south of—the old Izmir to Sardis highway, and to the south of the Synagogue/Gymnasium complex.
