Atatürk Mausoleum

This grand monument was built in the early 1950's in Ankara to honor the memory of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the commander of the Turkish forces in the War of Independence and the founder of the Turkish Republic.  It is called the "Anıtkabir."
