West Theater Skene

View looking down from the top of the Small Theater at the foundation of the stage area (= skene).  Note the two staircases on the left side of this image.

In this picture, the orchestra and the cavea have not yet been excavated.

It was built in the second century B.C. (the Hellenistic Period) and was used until an earthquake destroyed it in the seventh century A.D.
