View looking west-northwest. Arcadia Street runs from the lower right to the harbor of Ephesus in the upper left. The building remains stretching from the center of the image to the right are the remains of the Harbor Bath.
Arcadia Street connected the Great Theater and the Harbor. It was 1640 ft. long and 36 ft. wide. Although the "path" is very old, it was rebuilt during the reign of Emperor Arcadius (A.D. 395–408). In the sixth century, it evidently was lit!
The Harbor Bath is the largest of the six bath complexes at Ephesus. It was built in the first century A.D., probably during the reign of Domitian.
