Aqueduct Panorama

Aqueduct Panorama

View looking south at the well–preserved aqueduct as it continues to pass through a low area.  On the left (east) side of the image is the Pressure Tower just before the acropolis, and on the right is the Pressure Tower where the inverted syphon begins.

The canal in the picture, which flows from left to right is not associated with the aqueduct, but in Roman times, the aqueduct spanned this swampy area.
