Ancient Street 3

View looking southeast at the 23 ft. [7 m.] wide street of Tarsus. It dates to the second century B.C. The main dark paving stones are of hard volcanic stone and basalt, while the white gutter and curbing stones are of limestone. This street was one of the main streets of the city.
