Salina Bay Salt Pans

Salina Bay Salt Pans

View looking north at the salt pans of Salina Bay.  In ancient times this bay was very shallow and there probably was a marsh in the area where this picture was taken from.  These salt pans were constructed in the seventeenth–century.

Salina Bay is the bay that Mark Gatt, and others, have suggested to be the bay where the ship that the Apostle Paul ran aground (Acts 27:6–28:1).
