View of one of the sixty still-preserved thrones that surround the orchestra area.  Originally there were 67 of them.

By enlarging the image a long Greek inscription is clearly visible.  Note too the four-toed “lion’s-paw” legs of the chair.

This is probably not the original location of the chair for it has been placed over a row of bench-type seats upon which portions of Greek lettering are visible!
