Main Courtyard

View looking south across the main courtyard of the Monastery of St. John the Theologian.  The circular structure on the left side of the image is one of the cisterns found in the monastery.

The door on the left  leads to an inner courtyard, while the door slightly right of center, under the arch, opens into the “Chapel of the Holy Cross."

Not visible, but immediately on the left side of the image is the main chapel of St. John the Theologian.
