Mount Sinai

View from the slopes of Jebel Musa (= Mount Sinai/Horeb) of the rugged granite terrain.  According to the biblical text the Israelites camped at Mount Sinai and here Moses received the Torah.

Jebel Musa (Arabic Mount Moses) is the "traditional" site of Mount Sinai—although over 13 other locations have been proposed!  Sinai and Horeb are mentioned 56 times in the Bible!
