View of the Shishak inscription depicting his victory over foes in the Land of Canaan (Israel!).  Note his foes in the lower right, with upraised hands pleading for mercy!  In the lower left are cartouches of captured enemies/cities.

Shishak was an Egyptian ruler from 945 through 924 B.C. that invaded Judah and Israel in 925 B.C.—during the reigns of Rehoboam (Judah) and Jeroboam I (Israel).  This invasion is described in 1 Kings 14:25–32 and 2 Chronicles 12:1–11 but this inscription documents this invasion much more fully!
