Middle Jabbok

View looking north across the Jabbok River (Arabic Wadi az–Zarqa)  just to the south of Jerash. 221 This is the area of biblical Gilead and the Jabbok divides it into Upper Gilead (to the north of the Jabbok) and Lower Gilead (to the south of the Jabbok).
