View of an olive grove in the Wadi es–Sir that is located west of Amman Jordan.
This picture was taken in October before the winter rain had begun. The trees area generally planted about 36 ft. [11 m.] apart to allow them to receive enough sun light and moisture.
Note that this grove is on the slope of a hillside. Typically they are not placed high on the hills for the winds may knock off the blossoms in April, and they are not typically down in a marshy valley area for they need well drained soil.
