Three Graces Louvre

The Three Graces were goddesses who were symbols of beauty, the arts, and fertility and were companions of the god Apollo.  The statue was discovered on the Caelian Hill in Rome.  It dates to the second century AD.  The three heads were created and added by the sculptor Nicolas Cordier in AD 1609.

Compare a very similar statue that was discovered at Perge in Turkey!  The Louvre piece is about 3ft. high, while the Perge statue is 5ft. 10in. high!  The head on the Perge statue is original!
