Odeion

View looking west at the seating and stage area of the semi–circular Odeion at Corinth.  An Odeion is a small (often covered) theater that was used for concerts, recitations, council meetings, etc.

This Odeion could seat about 3,000 people.  The great benefactor Herodes Atticus (died about A.D. 160) provided money for its construction.
