View looking southeast towards the main entrance into Late Bronze Mycenae. A path leads up from the left center portion of the image to the Lions’ Gate that is located just to the right of center. A woman in red is walking up this path.
Note the massive defensive walls that tower over the path on the left, and the projection on the right that helps defend the gate. These are called “Cyclopean Walls” for it was thought that they were built by the giants, the Cyclopes.
