View looking northwest at the eastern most of a series of eleven treasuries that are located just west of the stadium at Olympia and on the southern slope of the Hill of Kronos. These “treasuries” were built by Greek city-states and colonies and housed the gifts that they donated to the gods of Olympia.
Compare also, for example, the “Treasury of the Athenians” at Delphi—one among many there as well.
