Antonia and Bethesda

View looking northwest at the northern wall of the Temple Mount.  The structure, left of the center of the image, is the four-towered Antonia Fortress.  The red roof structure on the right, with five porticos, are the Pools of Bethesda.

In the lower portion of the image, there is a partially visible pool that is just north of the Temple Mount and inside of the wall of the city.  This was the "Pool of Israel."  It was filled in and paved over during the days of the British Mandate in Palestine.  Today it is a parking lot!
