Solar Shrine—Holy of Holies

View looking west at the most sacred portion of the shrine/temple at Lachish.  These two steps and threshold lead into the small "Holy of Holies" on the west side of the tri–partite temple at Lachish.

A similar area was found by Aharoni at the Israelite Temple at Arad.
