Orchestra

View looking down and northwest at the "orchestra" area of the theater. On the left (west) side of the image the stage area was located. Although the theater was originally built by Herod the Great (37–4 B.C.) but was expanded and modified during the Roman Period.

On the horizon the Mediterranean Sea is visible.
