Pilgrims' Street Drawing

Pilgrims

View of a drawing of the path of the "Valley Street" that led from the area of Robinson's Arch to the Pool of Siloam.  This street seems to have been well–used during the Second Temple Period as pilgrims processed to, and from, the Temple Mount to and from the Pool of Siloam.

This was probably the route taken by the priest during the ceremony of the pouring of water during the Feast of Tabernacles (Succoth).

The street seems to follow the contour of the Tyropoean Valley and portions of it have been excavated.
