View looking south at the Armenian shrine that is built over the circular slab that is said to mark the spot where the three Marys watched the crucifixion of Jesus (Mary the mother of Jesus, Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James the Younger; Mark 15:39; etc.).
The closed wooden door on the right (west) side of the image leads to the Armenian reception area (divan). The staircase leads up to the Armenian gallery.
