Latin Calvary

View looking east at the Latin (Roman Catholic) portion of Calvary.  This is “Station XI” that commemorates Jesus being nailed to the cross and is maintained by the Franciscans.

This is the chapel and the Medici altar.  The mosaic of Jesus being nailed to the cross was completed in 1937.  For a detail of the altar below it Click Here.
