View looking north at the “Old Ancient Core” of Jerusalem. This core is on the slightly right (east) side of the image and is surrounded by a wall.
On the right side of the “core” is a terraced pathway. That is located where the Kidron Valley runs and detracts a bit from the perspective presented by the model.
On the left (west) side of the “core” is a depression. This is where the Central (Tyropoeon) Valley is located. Just right and below the center of the image is a representation of what was thought to be the Pool of Siloam—Click Here to see images of the recent discoveries that have revised this proposal a bit.
The western hill rises on the left (west) side of the image.
