View looking at the altar of the Roman Catholic “Chapel of Condemnation.” This chapel preserves the memory of Jesus being condemned to death in this area.
The painting above the altar depicts Pilate washing his hands, and Jesus (in the red robe) approaching his cross. On the right side of the image is a painted paper–maché statute of Jesus bearing his cross.
