View of an unexcavated Iron Age tomb on the southern slope of the Hinnom Valley. The roof and front of this tomb have been destroyed by quarrying. It consisted of a large central chamber in which the man is standing. To the right of the man is a chamber that contained three burial benches. To the left, and behind the man is another chamber with three burial benches. And, in the lower right portion of the image is another (now destroyed) chamber that had two or three burial benches. The entrance to the tomb was actually in the lower left quadrant of the image.
This tomb is located to the east of St. Andrew’s Church on the southern slope of the Hinnom Valley.
