View of the rear of the theater at Beth Shan.  Two of the vomitoria are visible as is the foundation of the thick wall that had supported the third tier of seats—now totally collapsed and missing.

The theater was built in the second century A.D. upon an earlier first century theater.  It seated 7,000 persons.
