Image looking down at the basalt stairs that are situated at the junction where the lower tell (upper half of picture) meets the upper tell (from where this picture was taken). Some believe that this is a gate area with a cult area. The current excavators seem to believe that this area is part of a Late Bronze Age palace—the majority of which still needs to be excavated.
In the center of the image are the basalt steps that were discovered years ago.
