Not only do the ritual baths indicate a strong Jewish presence at Jotapata, but also the stone cups that were found in the houses point in the same direction (stone cups were preferred vessels for household use, for if they became ritually impure, mere washing would render them useful again—in contrast to clay vessels that needed to be destroyed if they became impure).
