Jezreel Valley from Mt Carmel

This photograph was taken from Mount Carmel looking east at the Jezreel Valley.

Notice the runways of an Israeli air force base in the center of the image.  The left runway points toward Mount Tabor.  The right runway points towards the Hill of Moreh.  On the right (south) side of the photo, Mount Gilboa is visible.  On the far horizon, between the Hill of Moreh and Mount Gilboa, the hills of Gilead in Transjordan are visible.

In the lower right of the photo, Tel Jokneam is visible—to the right of the white buildings of the modern city of Jokneam.
