View looking up at the interior of the cupola of the Basilica. At its base it is 52 ft. [16 m] across and it is 180 ft. [55 m.] high—from the floor of the nave to its peak. It is supposed to represent an inverted “lily,” which in Hebrew sounds somewhat like the word “Nazareth.”
