Dionysos Learning to Ride

This photo of one of the panels depicts the Dionysus on Mount Nysa where he is learning to ride a donkey.  One woman supports him and the other leads the animal.  The scene features the "Maenads," or "Bacchantes," the female followers of Dionysus.
