Sussita from East

View looking west at the site of Sussita (center of the image).  In the background the (faint) light blue is the Sea of Galilee and even more faintly to the west are the hills of the west side of the lake.  

Susita rises about 990 ft. [300 m.] above the surface of the Sea of Galilee, upon which it had a harbor.  Note the path (white) that leads up a narrow ridge to the east gate of Susita and the deep wadis to the left (south) and right (north) of the site.
