Sarcophagi

View of a collection of sarcophagi from the Roman Period on the site of Kedesh.  One sarcophagus is visible on the left (the body was placed in the now–filled–in depression.  Above and to the right another sarcophagus is visible.

On the right side of the image two lids of sarcophagi are visible—one upright, but tilted, the other upside down.
