Note the low bench along the back wall of the house (in the right half of the picture). Slightly left of center, is the storage area of this house. In the center of the image is a grain grinder that was embedded in the floor. Grain would be placed in the depression, and a stick would be used to pound on it — to grind it.
The rectangular-shaped basalt stone, near the center of the picture is a column base, on top of which a vertical pole (used as a column) was placed to support the roof of the building.
