Jericho Labeled

In the center of the image is a walled city with four towers and two gates and that is surrounded by nine palm trees (= Jericho).  The red roofed buildings inside the city are churches.  For a general view of the area Click Here.

Left (north) of center is a red roofed church that has an exterior wall with eight of the twelve white stones embedded in a wall exposed in this image (= Gilgal commemorating Joshua’s crossing of the Jordan River—Joshua 3–4).
