View of the lintel of the main door of the palestra where the remnants of a broken Greek inscription are still visible. At first glance I thought the doorposts and the lintel were a modern cement support but upon examining the lintel it is evident that they are original.
Greek letters can be seen to the left, right, and above the break in the lintel. On the left the letters of sebaston are visible. Evidently the palestra was dedicated to the emperor and/or imperial family.
