View looking west at the north end of eastern wall (white limestone) of the Temple of Augustus. On the left (south) of the temple is the minaret of the Haci Bayram mosque—only partially visible.
During the Byzantine period it was turned into a church. The two (of three) windows date to this period as does the white and red brick portions of the crypt of the church that are visible on the right (north) side of the image.
