A view looking north at the main (southern) entrance (Central Propylon) to the North (Sacred) Agora from Syria Street. The right (east) side of it is partially reconstructed using materials found in the area. The paving stones in the foreground are from Syria Street.
The Propylon was built at the end of the first quarter of the third century A.D. It collapsed in an earthquake, was repaired, and went out of use after an earthquake in the early seventh century.
