Aleppo Gate

View of the "Aleppo Gate" that is located on the west side of the city.  The ancient Arabic inscription high above the entrance has the name Saladin and the date AH 588 (= AD 1192).  It is the only preserved gate, of seven, that were placed in the defensive wall of Haran.
